Williamsburg Winery pioneered crafting quality wine in Virginia back in 1985 and continues to elevate the Commonwealth as a significant wine producing region today. The setting on Wessex Hundred farm, 400 acres of woods, fields, gardens and vineyards, is reminiscent of a European village, with a restaurant, hotel, outdoor pavilion, charming event venues and endless green space.

Vinifera grapes, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Albariño among them, thrive at Wessex Hundred along with newcomers Tannat and Muscat. Hybrid grapes such as Vidal Blanc have proven to be viable and consistent, too. The winery’s acclaimed Wessex Hundred series made from grapes sourced exclusively from the estate vineyards include Albariño, Rosé, Chardonnay and Viognier. From grape to glass, a visit to the Williamsburg Winery is a true celebration of Virginia heritage, tradition and innovation and most of all, an ideal location to do what’s encouraged on every cork: “Enjoy life!”
